Dial-up networking Error 629
This error message can occur for a number of reasons:
1. The usual solution is to re-enter your dial-up username and password. Please remember that all usernames and passwords issued by the ISP should be in lower case.
2. Please also confirm that you are dialling the correct number. The correct numbers are: Standard Dial-up: 0845 0591000 Business Surf: 0808 9933081 Evening Surf: 0808 9933082 The TCP/IP settings may also be incorrect.
3. If you are using Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000 these ensure that modem speed is not set below 19,200bps. Please refer to the following:http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q241/5/13.asp
