How do I set up my mail account?

To create your Email Account in Outlook, follow these instructions.

From Outlook , click on TOOLS in the top bar, and then on E-Mail Accounts.

Select Add a new e-mail account and click next

On the next screen select POP3 and click next

This next screen is where you enter all your information. Under Your Name, enter the name you want to use for emails and your email address in the appropriate field.

'Incoming mail server (pop3)' enter pop.mail.x-isp.net

For the 'Outgoing mail server (SMTP)' type the smtp server for your ISP. eg. post.mail.x-isp.net

Enter the username and password for your email account as provided by your ISP

Click NEXT and then FINISH.

If you wish to configure Outlook for SSL, which is reccomended for increased security and required for 'off-net' access, please follow tghe guide below.

First open up Outlook , and go to the E-mail Accounts menu under Tools. This will bring up a menu like below. Select View or change existing e-mail accounts and click Next.

Now select the email account you are using and click change...

Click on More Settings and select the advance tab…..

Under Incoming Server (POP3) - Tick the box for This server requires a secure connection (SSL) and change the port number to 995

Do the same for the Outgoing Server, changing the port to 465

Click OK.
